Send push notifications from your logicblocks

We’re happy to announce a new action type: Push notifications can now be sent straight from your logicblocks! :bell:

Until now, push notifications were only used to confirm or cancel actions in the Warn and Suggest execution modes. Now you can add a Push action to any logicblock and write the message yourself. It works like the email action, just instantly on your phone or browser. No third-party service required.

What’s new?

  • :white_check_mark: A new Push action with your own title (up to 100 characters) and message (up to 250 characters)
  • :white_check_mark: Dynamic values, so you can put the current value of a variable or device attribute right into the notification
  • :white_check_mark: Delivery to all your subscribed browsers and devices
  • :white_check_mark: A built-in limit of 60 push actions per hour, so a flapping logicblock can’t flood your phone

How to get started

  1. Go to Settings → Location and notification settings and enable push notifications on your device
  2. Add a new action to a logicblock and choose Push
  3. Write your title and message, and save

:warning: Important: The Push action stays greyed out until push notifications are enabled on at least one of your devices.
