I have noticed Google home is able to see the state of lights, weather they are on or off etc, and if you have nest thermostat it can tell if people are home or not.
surely as we use Google login we should be able to use the information to power the logi blocks

Devices can report their state to Google Home (https://developers.google.com/assistant/smarthome/develop/report-state), but the platform is still very locked down in the opposite direction. You cannot get data from outside, nor does Google enable you to trigger other devices directly - they want to keep control over everything 
Of course we are following the updates and are considering a first step of integrating with Google Home.
